Observed coaching sessions

Observed coaching sessions hold a significant place in our training program. We plan sessions conducted in triads, which provide opportunities for our students to enhance their coaching competencies. In these sessions, each student takes on the roles of coach, client, and observer. We provide feedback in trios so they can learn from each other’s performances and written feedback, too so they can review and remember their sessions.. This method allows our students to benefit from their own experiences as well as the experiences of their peers, promoting growth and development. It is an application that our students truly enjoy and find beneficial.

Mentorships

Our program takes place in an online classroom environment with synchronous sessions and a maximum of 10-person group mentorships. It involves reviewing four recorded sessions by the mentor coach and individual mentor meetings where feedback is provided to the students. Mentoring serves as a development process for the student. T We can divide these sessions into two categories:1-5 Modules Mentor Coaching A total of 4 hours of group mentorship sessions is conducted between the 1st and 5th modules, divided into two sessions of two hours each.v  The first group mentorship session is held after the 1st module. In this session, sessions are held applying the knowledge learned, and feedback is given about these sessions.v  The second group mentorship is conducted after the 4th module, and consists of coaching sessions applying all the knowledge learned along the way, and feedback is given about these sessions.

Module 6: Mastery Journey

Our 6th module consists of 4 parts. This module should be completed within 6-8 months.

  • Informational webinar

  • Individual Mentoring Sessions: 1x3- 3 hours in total.

To enhance learning richness, the one-on-one mentorship sessions are held with two-three different mentor coaches.  During group mentorship sessions, coaching sessions are held, and these sessions are evaluated based on PCC level competencies. In one-on-one mentorship, after meeting with the mentor, another recording should be taken, and the feedback received in the mentor session should be used.

Purpose: The aim of these studies is to support the coach to coach according to the ICF PCC standards and to demonstrate these competencies on their journey to the credentialing process.Another goal is to advance their progress in the Holistic Schema Coaching approach. In this program, our coaches will work with mentors to share the difficulties they encounter during the process, ask for their opinions, and receive ideas. They will receive support on issues such as competency, ethics, schema knowledge, advanced coaching techniques, and potential different client profiles encountered in the sessions.

 ASSEMENTS- Q&A'S

Holistic Schema Coaching conducts the Assessment process with two evaluators who hold PCC or higher credentials. If the coach wishes, they can conduct a session with one of their clients or one of the mentor coaches. Both mentor coaches evaluate the session and reach a decision. The following points are important in this evaluation.

1-What happens when two assessors do not agree when evaluating a recording that was submitted as part of the performance evaluation portion of the PCC Credentialing application?

Answer: When a coach applies for their PCC Credential through the ACSTH or Portfolio credentialing pathways, they are required to submit two recordings for the performance evaluation portion of the PCC Credentialing application process. Each recording is initially assessed by two assessors (a total of four different assessors initially evaluate the two recordings - two assessors for each recording). If the two evaluations by a pair of assessors who are evaluating the same recording are not aligned (i.e., if one evaluation reflects that the applicant did not meet the ICF minimum standard for PCC level coaching and the other evaluation reflects that the applicant did meet the ICF minimum standard for PCC level coaching), then a third assessor is brought in to break the "tie".

2-How is it determined whether or not a coach meets the ICF minimum standard for PCC level coaching based upon an assessor's evaluation?

Answer: A scoring rubric is used to determine whether or not a coach has met the ICF minimum standard for PCC level coaching. This scoring rubric is only shared with ACTP Directors of Training. However, we can share that there is a minimum number of markers a coach must demonstrate in each competency area and there is a minimum number of markers the coach must demonstrate overall (i.e., they must meet a minimum for the total markers observed across all competency areas). However, the coach is not required to demonstrate all 37 markers in order to meet the ICF minimum standard for PCC level coaching. When a coach applies for their PCC Credential through the ACSTH or Portfolio credentialing pathways, they are required to submit two recordings for the performance evaluation portion of the PCC Credentialing application process.
